Hi. I started volunteering on marine pollution issues when a teenager back in 1987, and has since 1997 had a position as marine advisor at Friends of The Earth Norway/Norwegian Society for The Conservation of Nature, part of Friends of The Earth International (FoEI, the world’s largest grassroots environmental network). My education is in tropical marine ecology and temperate coastal marine biology. Australia, Japan, Malta, Nigeria, Russia, UK and Netherlands are among the countries I’ve visited for field research. Hot topics in my daily work by 2018 is plastic marine litter, microplastics and coastal management. Among my fields of special interest is marine sound, marine animal behaviour and, of course: the wellbeing of all members of the marine biodiversity. You can check out LinkedIn for some of my work.
